Clean Eating



The winter has been brutal for all of us up North, how have you done with staying on track with your Clean Eating?  Have you struggled to get back on track and are stressed out that the Summer and Bikini season are right around the corner?

Oh.....So....Am....I!!!

I was thinking of an idea for us all to get it right on track, nothing is needed to buy, all you have to do is commit to 5 days of eating clean and share with me.  So How bout it, let's cut the crap!

I'm personally inviting you to my Clean Eating 5 day Challenge with No Strings attached.  Why you ask...I simply want to inspire you, help you, and maybe educate you on something your unaware of how to do.  All you have to do is post below and I will add you to the group.  You never know the new friendship that may emerge as an added bonus.....

Get Ready for Spring Cleaning

Spring is approaching and if you live up North where I do we have had on heck of a brutal winter!  I myself could not be more excited for spring, and you know what that means shorts, short sleeve tops, the sun in face, warm air, fresh night air and Spring Cleaning.


We usually all fall into the winter blues eating things we shouldn't, and find oh no Bathing suit season is coming or that spring break trip is just around the corner!  Many of you will  "crash diet" or do oher harmful things to yourself to try to loose weight Quickly.  Taking harmful "Magic Pills" thinking you will look like the model representing it, STOP!!!!  There are no such things as a "Magic Pill", quick fix, the only thing that will work is hard work, eating right and not starving yourself.  

I have a something that can help you jump start you to your goals, get the sugar and junk food addiction to stop in it's tracks and help you re-connect with healthy eating and balance.  I am hosting a 21 day Eat Clean challenge called the Ultimate Reset.  It will begin March 17 and will have only 5 people I will work with, ensuring them success and my full attention.

Chocolate Questbar & Peanut Butter Cookie Pizza

Have I got a special recipe for you. it's health and amazingnall at the same time!!  I have found an addiction to Quest bars!!!  Try this one and let me know how it turned out, we love sharing on my blog...

Chocolate Questbar & Peanut Butter Cookie Pizza


Ingredients:
-12g (2Tbsp) powdered peanut butter (I use PB2)
-1 Tbsp chopped peanuts
-1 Tbsp dark chocolate cocoa powder
-Liquid Stevia (butterscotch liquid stevia)
Instructions:
1.) Pre-heat oven to 340 degrees. Spray a mini spring form pan with non-stick cooking spray. Place Questbar in dish and microwave 10 seconds. Mold Quest Bar to bottom of pan and bake in pre-heated oven for 5 minutes. Release spring form pan let cool slightly.
2.) In a small bowl, combine PB2 with water until desired consistency is reached.
3.) In another small bowl, combine dark cocoa power with 2 drops liquid stevia & water until desired consistency is reached.
4.) Spread chocolate sauce on questbar, sprinkle with chopped peanuts then drizzle peanut butter mix on top.
Nutritionals:
306 cal, 28g protein, 9g net carbs, 3g sugar, 21g fiber, 15g fat

Happy Valentine's Day




 

Happy Valentine's Day!  

What does Valentine's Day mean to you?  I often hear people say the think it's a dumb holiday, but I ask why?  The response is usually to the effect: "It's a hallmark day", "I don't think one day should be made to celebrate it" or "it's stupid". 

I believe it's a celebration of Love for yourself, love of your family, love of life, love of your blessings, love of your children and love of God.   Taking time to reflect and remind not only yourself and loved ones of your love, but you never know who needs a little reminder.

Client spotlight

Today I want to give a spotlight to my client Christine Farner...She is a Breast Cancer surviver and amazing woman all around. Her strength and kind soul is a blessing to have in my life.  Just as I have the pleasure of helping my clients get stronger and work to achieving their goals, they in turn inspire me, keep me humble and feel Blessed to be a part of their journey.  Christine is working hard, never giving up and getting stronger everyday...I'm so proud of all she accomplished so far.  She is a Salon owner, mother and Wife with a very full plate never making excuses just gets it done. 

I'm so excited to see where her journey takes her.

Snow Day Special

My journey to the stage 12weeks out

Today is Super Bowl Sunday, but for me it is meal prep day.  I'm so happy I started a few weeks ago getting ready for this, it wasn't easy and at first pretty ugly lol.  I have  it down so I can laugh now but it wasn't always funny.  

Meal prepping is a science with precision, knowing what your macro intake should be, when your  refeed times are, and timing of eating each meal.  So I can tell you at first it can be overwhelming if you don't have a plan.  Planning is the most essential part, I know what your thinking, "who has time for that?" Well you make the time!  I Am Busy!  But I make the time, staying on track to achieve my goals is more important than anything.  Having  a very tight schedule if I don't do this on Sunday my eating is not right and I would never achieve what I set out to.  

First I figure out how my macro plan will be for the week.  Then I grocery shop, finally pre-paring everything.  I steam broccoli, green beans, kale, snap peas.  Roast Brussels sprouts and sweet potatoes.  Prepare brown rice and quinoa, bake boneless skinless chicken breasts with different types of Mrs. dash seasonings on it.  Make up ground chicken and ground turkey with onions, peppers and fresh garlic.  

Next I lay all my containers out and measures each item according to my plan for each meal, then stack by day in the fridge. 


Now my week us ready!  Yes it is some work, but I don't have to think about this again until Saturday.  Thus making my week of eating Easy!  This is the fastest "Healthy" food you can get! And the only way to really get the results you are truly looking for.  

This is a lifestyle, not a diet!  I have a cheat meal but I plan it.  I can travel and bring meals with me as well, so I save money and stay on track.  I will allow a treat or two though.  Well Its time for me to go to bed and rest up 5:30am cardio comes early! Good night all!
